The Golden Visa Program of Malta (MRVP) offers any non-EU/EEA nationals residency and free move within the Schengen area.

Conditions To Apply
You need to make a non-refundable contribution of €30,000 that each approved applicant must make.
Buy Or Rent a Property
You’ll need to either purchase or rent a property. Below are the conditions for each respectively.
Purchase a property for not less than €320,000. Should the property be in Gozo or in the South of Malta, the value should not be less than €270,000.
Rent a property for not less than €12,000 per annum. Should the property be in Gozo or in the South of Malta, the rental value should not be less than €10,000 per year.
Invest €250,000 in a qualifying investment.
Clean Criminal record
You should not be an individual listed with INTERPOL and has never appeared before an international court.
Income or Capital
You must be in receipt of annual income of €100,000 arising outside Malta or have a capital of not less than €500,000.
You must have a health insurance covering the Schengen Area from a company licensed in Malta or by and internationally reputable company.
A one-time non-refundable registration fee amounting to €5,500 is levied by the Malta Government, which is considered as part of the contribution of €30,000.
All nationals are eligible for the MRVP, excluding nationals from Afghanistan and North Korea. The government may exclude applications from other countries in the future.
A parent or grandparent of the Main Applicant or of his/her spouse is eligible as a dependant, who proves to the satisfaction of the Minister that he/she is not economically active and is principally dependant on the Main Applicant. If you apply for a grandparent as a dependant, there’s a need for proof that shows the link between the grandparent and the Main Applicant/spouse. Such as for example a ‘family-tree’ through birth certificates of the Applicant/spouse, the birth certificate of the respective parent, and then the grandparent. The Beneficiary may add dependants at a later stage however, the exact terms and conditions are still under review.
